Great first outing by newly "buffed" Bloodseeker in General Discussion

From TI9, we can conclude that after a few patches, even the pros can't fully grasp the meta.
Bloodseeker could be good. But no teams dared to try him. LS on the other hand, has been believed by pros to be a better hero but failed with 4 times the sample size.
If I have to say it, TI9 is a clownfest. When you see OG stomping everyone with their early timing strat(which almost none of the others do for the whole year), and would pretty much 3-0ed Liquid if it wasn't for the Meepo game. You know the pros are fucked. They are not all knowing dota gods. They're just faster/better in adapting the meta, not instant.
So it is time to stop blaming Icefrog on balancing this hero. It is time to blame the pros, for being high level sheeps who refuse to explore the meta, except OG of course.

And probably Secret, but they explored and kinda failed this TI. Unfortunate.

Meta this tournament = supports that heal, reduce resistance, or save or buff carries. The lockdown was almost all provided by the carries and offlanes which almost all included some sort of AoE farming ability as well.

Top carries were gyro, Sven, tiny, ember, leshrac, alch, Mirana, storm, WK, etc. Void was about the only non-lane pushing carry regularly picked and that was because he had chrono. All the others had a hard disable because the supports were almost all soft disable. Ogre was the only commonly picked support with lockdown.

Since bloodseeker has no lockdown (and does badly against healing teams which was the other big thing this tournament) he had absolutely 0 place in the meta and never will until thirst is moved back to a 100-25 scaling. You can’t have a carry that fights at only half power when the enemy team can fight at full power from the start.

What kind of healing supports are you talking about? Abaddon, Dazzle, Oracle and Phoenix aren't even popular picks. There's only Chen as support, Io and Ench as core. I don't even consider Ench as a healing hero.
The meta isn't confirmed yet. TI9 is the first major tournament after a few patches. It's a similar to last year's TI, but less drastic in changes. You'd be surprised how different the pros will draft and play in the next tournament even if there's no following patch(hopefully there's none).

But if you really have to take the popular picks in TI9 as meta. Tiny and SD are meta. These heroes deal huge initial damage. Why not pair Bloodseeker with them? Does it not boggle your mind how pros never consider the synergy? Why would they rather pick LS or Jugg, who also has zero lockdown, ass damage early on and need like 3 core items to start being useful? In what world is LS and Jugg still better than BS? In the world where pros are stubborn pussays who never bother to learn the beautiful art of Bloodseeker that is.
Saw the grand finals where Liquid drafted bunch of greedy heroes on top of LS and Jugg? Absolutely destroyed. Imagine replacing the pos 1 with Blood. They would have a better lane, better push, more early game impact to withstand OG's runover. But no, they've tried that hero against Secret once and deemed him unworthy. They want a natural BKB hero so Miracle can't die(But dies anyways) so he can farm for 20 more minutes as OG is stomping the whole map.

TL;DR TI9 is a clownfest. Pro's meta aren't trustworthy. Blood > Jugg, LS, PL, Medusa
