ck needs to snowball like lancer, naga or jugg to deal with troll. Medusa and spectre are pretty OK as they can take a lot of punishement, maybe lo g enough for team to help you before he kills you.
tinker is the worst vs troll, eblade morph might work. OD ult often permakills troll until he gets skadi XD
If you have a spell such as roar, or rp (safe stun throw bkb) then slark is one of the best hero for this, but the best way is still to use a non carry, and stuck troll (earth/bat)

otherwise pick ranged cores who can kite him, or people who can remove stun
pl is kinda great because both doppel and manta remove blind, doppel removes blind on all your illusions
also diffusal helps with kiting troll, and troll's single target bullshit is nullified by pl swarms
Sniper not really an option vs Troll to be honest, maybe if sniper has a good block mid and can kite the troll a lot, but if troll gets help from 1 support with a stun, sniperino is deaderino. Also, i think it's best to get a shadowblade/blink when playing troll against sniper just so you can get close and rek his sissy ass.
Any carry really, cause there is no carry that can safely kill a troll. The way to deal with a troll is by having really good supports or some AOE lock down where (any carry) can drop him in the duration of his stun.

Troll is not beatable in a 1v1. But Dusa and Spectre are nice options, since they are AOE carries. They kill Trolls team faster than troll kills your team.
Next patch should do something about troll, cause this g*y f*ghero is just broken atm.

Witch dr ult though is really good since he can't dodge it or beat it with bkb but it needs to be setup or dr just gets bashed.
Abyssal blades are awesome. PA with some good crits can burst him during an abyssal stun.
Ancient apparition ult is quite good cus it kills his lifesteal. Troll is actually squishy with no lifesteal. Omniknight is amazing if the other team is retarded and doesn't purge. I always build diffusal on troll vs omni but a lot of scrubs don't.
Sniper is one of the greatest threats to Troll, seriously. If you don't win under 35-40 minutes as Troll vs. Sniper you are going to have big-big problems.
Sniper scales to lategame twice as good than Troll.
Troll's value thru the game rises, and then falls, lets say in early (after lvl 7) game he is worth 70 somethings, midgame 100, lategame 70 (unless he snowballed like hell, then he will be 130 late.)
Sniper gets rekt by Troll early.
Troll gets rekt by Sniper late.
In my experience : Sniper with proper positioning coz he will usually get blink vs you. As N4randza said you will probably outcarry him at some moment, but you have to hit that time. So play really safe and dont engage teamfights you know you will lose. Ofc sniper is counter to any melee hero with mobility problems
Sniper does not scale better into late game, he does less dmg than troll, it's just cus he's freakin' untouchable when you have to go through axe and tide and sand king and centaur and wraith king and all the other goons to actually hit sniper. He's an amazing uphill defender so you can have lost zero towers and taken all their t2s and he can still make it hell to rax. He's a good counter but it's still team effort to 1) get to late game and 2) protect sniper like your lives depend on it. You stick sniper on a squishy team with no disables like drow, TA, idk what else, wisp and chen? He's getting crushed.
Yeah alchemist can 1v1 win against troll, between abyssal and his stun, you can easily achieve a 6-8 secondes stun, which is more than enough to kill troll when you have 1 sec bat (that's better than crit jugg + bat of jugg together)
anyone that has a long initation stun with any big physical damage carry
If you guys get the stun before he pops bkb you win the fight, if you don't you lose the fight.
Thats the rule of thumb when fighting troll warlord, act faster before he can pick up his speed.
Troll doesn't need much setup but the small amount that he does need is what turns a good lineup to counter into a massacre for troll
Here is a team that can deal with him easily.
Tidehunter/Earthshaker
Lion/Vengeful spirit
Nightstalker/meepo/phantom assassin/bountyhunter
Pugna/silencer
Beastmaster/doom
Tide has the big fullteam disable that is needed to initate on troll, lion can stun him again and keep him from popping bkb as items are muted while hexed. Night, meepo, pa and bounty are all there for a reliable physical damage dealer to smack on him during the whole process of these stuns.
Pugna and silencer are there for the disables after the bkb, either one to keep him from attacking instantly or one to shut him down for longer after he has spammed everything
And then finally doom and beastmaster are always great if you want a team of bkb busters
i usually pick sniper as a safelane farmer, so its a lot less convenient for supports to smoke gank

Honestly the head shot wasn't half as annoying as currently is, but even with sniper you still need a good support to hold him at bay while you kite him and knock him down.
forgot about axe (blade mail). Any blade mail centric hero works really well cus then troll is forced to choose between using bkb to avoid stuns or using it to avoid switching targets. Switching just destroys his dps but he will die if he stays on a blade mailed target without bkb. Wraith king and bloodseeker with blade mails also suck badly for him. Clock is also a really nice pick cus he can block troll with cogs and is a good blade mail carrier.
i beaten many snipers, juggs and phantom assasins as troll... idk why people pick them vs me. Blademail doesnt help when troll has satanic...
the best bet is glass cannon void +chrono but if he doesnt get bkb and gets blind or if troll survives; then he is roast.
Just use supports (nukers) and initiators to fight him indirectly. Hero is built for manfightning and your wk/naix/jugg/ursa/pa and other manfighters cant really 1v1 him majority of the time
and icefrog nerfs hero so that his main fun features are left. He will probably get reduced nuke dmg or/and mana costs on ultimate... Maybe some rescalibg on BR/fervor. Maybe some indirect BKB/sny/skadi nerfs, too. And tower stuff since he pushes like madman (everyone hates him not for manfightning but if you lose fights then 2towers+rax)???
then he will buff some other hero ,too and whining will cease about hero who never had much usage in pubs and conpetetetive scene...
I beated troll as sniper, slarm, ember, even drow too. So? Thats situational. I beated AM as drow, I beated PL as WK. Lmao
in normal skill i could carry with KOTL...
it's all about reliability. I can tell those heroes are not 75% guaranteed to beat troll from my personal experience of hundreds of games and are hence not reliable.
speaking as off troll being op- i loved this hero years ago. He wasnt really changed over time TBH; just neglible buffs (500-600AS+ fervor FIX) in recent patches.
If i was icefrog; i wouldnt nerf him just cause pubbies cry - same as noobs cry about riki and drow. Learn to play around hero and how to deal with him instead of crying for nerfs. He was there for long time. Everything was fine...
Look up forums about same jugg, troll, lina few months ago when they were hipster. Some 5k smartass always comes and says "oh they suck because of X"
Then some pro team/popular streamer picks them one or two times and WHOLE SHEEP brigade in pubs follow who couldnt think for themselves. Look at axe - he appeared out of nowhere. Teams understood that he is poor mans RP...
even now there are hidden gems in hero pool but even if someone pinpoints them everyone will talk about them being OK or having weaknesess. Until they become popular, all smartypants shutup and everyone cries OP....

You leave troll with 1hp, he can easily comeback and finish you off with his crazy bashes. I remember in dota 1 his bashes had 15%.
You don't deal with Troll alone, he rapes you in a 1v1 no matter the hero. Instead you need good teamwork and BKB piercing lockdown.

Which carry can deal with this beast in a teamfight situation. I am sick of this beast team wiping you because you fail to lock him down, then he proceeds to get mega creeps in 15 seconds flat. He has one of the highest dps in the game and is also fairly tanky.
