Take breaks in between games and walk around the house or something to get your eyes off the screen regularly and don't play in the dark, if the soreness is heavy you can use eye drops to help mantain the eyes hydrated. Also drink plenty of water. The first tip is by far the most important one imo.
Do you play for a million hours in a row and tend to isolate alot during those periods? Does the eye contact problem come with other symptoms like dizziness and a sense of confusion or some sort of anxiety? Reason why I'm asking is, I find it odd that you specifically said you have trouble looking at people in the eye instead of just looking straight in front of you or anything of that sort. It gives me the impression that if you isolate for long you might temporarily start feeling a bit socially awkward. Not sure if this might resonate and involve psychological factors too or if it's literally just a visual problem.
thanks for the answer. yes the fact of walking around the house or staring at a far place helps this btw / but do u experience the same? I mean I may only ply 3 games in a row and feel shit like this I just can't imagine someone playing 10 hours a day and not feeling eye sore or problems I mentioned!
As much as I love videogames (more like have been addicted to them since childhood), sitting in front of a screen for hours is not natural at all for the body and causes stress to it, both physical and mental. So no worries, it's a common and normal consequence to a non-natural habit.

hi boys, I ply dota in different periods of time. (I ply 3 months, leave for 3 months , .. etc u know what I mean)
the time that I ply dota everyday, I do move my eyes around screen really fast every second (I guess we are all) and it gets kinda dry. the problem is for instance I go to a party and I can't just sit face to face with ppl and "directly look in their eyes" I feel a bit sore and dryness in eyes. I know this has to be a problem with game but do u experience the same thing?
I also visited 2 different ophthalmologist and talked about my eye sore they checked it up completely and both said it is all fine I just work too much with digital screens.
-anyone having the same issue and the way u deal with it? (problem in looking direct at ppl's eyes after playing too much)
