It grabs the average mmr of everyone in your game.The more you play solo the more accurate it gets.

Its accurate upto +- 200 mmr.

i dont thint that its accurate cuz i play in veryhigh skill bracket and opendota shows 3 000 estimated mmr :D its bullshit

it is not accurate at all, since people stopped showing mmr on profile because valve removed that option.
