well I hated laning against a viper before, now I consider it a oversized ranged creep
I am exaggerating a bit, but I don't think viper has the same presence as before imho
Sf has been slightly scarier in lane now because of his raze stacking. Now you have to avoid the razes more than ever. So it opens up different matchups
you played bad. razor is not as good against od anymore, because of the change to unstable current, but you should still easily be winning the lane.
And unless this OD played really scared, he should not be able to really fight you unless he has help. Thats kind of what razor is picked imo. To win a lane but OD doesn’t want to draw a lane either, since he can’t keep up in farm so it’s probably ok that you drew, you had way more impact than him anyways and you won
Invoker rape ember much more easily in exort quas than in quas wex. even more true now that pms is gone
The reason Razor Conutered OD was unstable current. it was changed so he No longer shits on OD. Still a 50/50 Match up though.
@Washed Up the idea on how Razor shat on OD during lane was that at lvl 1, with astral's crap cast range, Razor would surely get a good amount of damage off of OD despite inferior MS. Then, with the old unstable current, you would wreck the lane even more. If he'd try to astral you, he'd be slowed, and you would steal even more dmg. Basically, the situation would get progressively worse for OD.
Viper's actually pretty good against pa now with new nether toxin, and pa can't really get away from it that easily.
Bad match up is like 50% why you are winning or losing the game. People are matched with people of similar skill level and the chance of throwing, dumb mistakes and disconnection are unrelated to the heroes.
Do remember that some early game favourable match-up can become unfavourable in the late game as the heroes start to get more skills and buy items.
So why is Razor a counter to OD? Razor is probably one of the worst heroes against OD because damage from Orb is not affected by Static Link. Even if you drain all his damage, he will still farm with Orb and Imprisonment The fact you drew the lane should be considered well play on your part.
Puck won vs qop for obvious reason
Sf vs qop is not as heavily favoured to qop as before
You need brain to play viper
Most of SF's midlane matchups have opened up, with the exception of TA, who still rekts him all stages of the game. Like versus Tinker, you can actually stay in lane now, because of raze stacks, and nerfed laser CD. Same with SF vs Viper, because of the rework on poison attack, you can't get completely pushed out of lane at lvl 1 anymore.
havent seen ta in my games for 3 months or more, so does it matter?
i recently walk over duolanes as solo legion like never before. but that might be because i play with lower skill stacks.
and i mean serious lanes. pl bane, drow shaman and stuff like that, i just walk in and kill the carry, completely ignoring the support.
am steps close to me level 1, we both tank a full creepwave, his dunno what support attacks me too, ez first blood
the lack of pms seems to hurt those position 1 players much more than it hurts me
why does OD sometimes goes max astral and sometimes only 1 point in it? I keep wondering, isnt astral most superior disrupting skill in lane till lvl 10?

My last game, I picked Razor to midlane against OD, since he historically was considered a counter to OD, at least in the laning stage, but I only drew the lane. Is Razor still a "bad matchup" during laning for OD and I just played it wrong? or did patches make it so that OD doesn't lose anymore when 1v1 mid against Razor?
Any other "bad matchup" that is no longer true?
