theres this very annoying thing with panda that when u cancel ur 100% crit it goes away without u even landing a hit which means that the games doesn't care if the attack landed or not
the special crit animation also indicate that

i had like i cancelled my special crit animation on wk, but then kept hitting the same creep, didnt crit once. but i hit the next creep, 1st hit was crit. so idk deduce what you can from this statement.

cancelled attacks affect PRD, this is obvious because the crit animation starts if you are about to crit

im pretty sure there was a crit script which abused this, and wud instantly cancel any attack that didnt crit, until they rolled crit

Yes. You can abuse PA's crit by doing multiple auto attack cancel on creeps, then throwing the dagger to enemy heroes.

It will not work all the time, but the odd doing the dagger crit is much higher. Try it on hero demo.

what's the formula to see your crit chance M% at attack N, if the crit has a chance P% ?

so if i had a 10% crit chance, and it's my 3rd attack in a row what's my chance to crit on that specific attack?

12.5 % on your 3rd attack with 2 prior misses.

Since this is PRD, every miss on the proc increases the chances of your next attack proccing. So most probably the formula should be :

M = 100/((100/P)+1-N) %

probably. since crit animation always starts before the hit lands anyway.

Dagger derives all the properties from the standard attacks so the crit chance is same as an auto-attack.

@ OP missed and cancelled attacks do affect PRD chance. The calculation is done as the attack begins.

@ Cookie the formula changes based on the true chance (PA's 15% crit would have different values in the formula compared to Jugg's 30% crit)

@ Washed Up, Dagger uses the same formula, but independent chances to autoattacks. So you can't cancel autoattacks to increase the chance of getting a crit with dagger. Likewise your dagger critting or not does not impact the chance of your autoattack critting.
