No bug there, you casted the ability onto a hero/player icon.

this will happen for every ability in the game, you can cast them on icons and your hero will walk over there and cast it, in case of sunstrike, which is global, you managed to sunstrike your antimage.

oh yea didnt notice xd.

I usually click the icons when I'm casting something like Treant heal so I don't accidentally click a nearby creep instead, but didn't know it worked with non-unit targeted abilities.
