I had this same problem 5 month ago . I sent to shop he said it just need format . And this shit happen again today . So , this problem cant be fixed by format?
@op try booting up your laptop with an external boot like soomething you put in a usb then change something in your bios to boot from a usb (this is just temporary you can change it back if your laptop is ok again).
I also experience somewhat like this but more severe like boot device not found, and I installed a new OS for my laptop.

Yeah your HDD is dying, but how could that be possible? I mean I've had my laptop for 6 years already but its seems still fine........... I think.
I told you already it's ecause the harddisk is dying. GO and save your data and buy a SSD. It can't be fixed just by formatting, it's going to die completely soon enough.
