the most important thing to deal with a bb is zone him at lev 1, so heroes with a strong lev 1 like distruptor are pretty legit if u are a solo supp. If u zone him and u delay his lev 3 ur lane is pretty much won. Later on u will need heroes that can control him for a decent period of time in fights, like distruptor himself, bane and lion. Ancient Apparition is really good too but has problems zoning a bristle if he is supping alone

A great support against BB I've found is actually my most played hero , Lion. Going early mana drain reduces his chances at harassing the carry out of the lane and using it doesn't cost much. Whenever he comes in for last hits or even to harass just mana drain. :)
against bb u either force him from lane lvl 1 and he dies many times or he stays in lane and u ignore him cuz there is nothing more u can do.
from what I know to avoid letting bb get uncontested farm, u must zone him hard lvl 1, even kill him.
Lion. I'm struggle when against lion as BB because he can absorb all of the mana you had. BB is nothing if he doesn't have mana at early level.
Most bristleback offlane only know how to feed dude. Just play properly as any decent support tbh
