I can afford financing for now, but still do not want to end up wasting money you know?
those of you who are good with pcs let me know if this is worth the price.

I would be buying the Ryzen stock one.
How would this do for games, I'm used to playing games on low settings and even csgo on lowest settings I can get at most 60 fps on the lower quality maps.

It is fairly Priced however you have to decide which Ryzen set up your going with. Just fyi there are 3 Different Processers each faster than the other. Honestly your better off building your own but if you don't want to go through the effort this one here should be fine. If I did the math your roughly paying at Stock price almost 250 to assemble it and 1000 For the parts. Also I would advise just sticking with one Graphics card since you are use to Low settings. Just make sure the one graphics card you do have is a damn good one. I cannot wait to build a comp with Ryzen. My PC runs the Vishera OC'd to 5.2 with my liquid cooling Lmao. Creates a shit ton of heat.

That seems massively overpriced. check this out.

I know not everyone has a micro center around, but you probably have something? Frys micro center or something like that. You literally cannot build a pc for that price, the cheapest 1070 on newegg is $350+, an i5-7600k is $240, and that pc is only $999. I put as close to the parts as I could in a cart on newegg, cheapest 1070, same mobo, cheapest ram, ssd and a $40 case, and it was still $1065 without a cooler cus that cpu doesn't come with one, without thermal grease, no wifi card, mouse keyboard or windows.

Even if you have to go online something like this seems better

Don't go Ryzen. That shit is primarily for people who play games + beyond (streaming, rendering, etc.)

For gaming, just stick with Intel (more performance for GAMING while being the same price, if not cheaper).
          My two cents at least.

          Edit:
Problem with pre-builts from Newegg is that the Memory, Motherboard and Power Supply are all dirt cheap. You will end up replacing 1 (or 2 or 3) things before the year is up.

if you want AMD w8 for the ryzen 5, the 4-6 cores ones, they will release day 11 of this month, and they will have a better overclock than the ryzen 8, the 6 core is rumored to being 3.8-4.0 base clock, with better overclocking, since with a 1800x you get max of 4.1-4.2 in launch you will probably get 4.3-4.4, plus do you really need the custom water cooler, if you really want Water go with prebuilds, you just slap on the motherboard and put the radiator on the correct place.

You can get the parts for much cheaper, the dual gpu system is the 4k one, they also dont say what is the hardware, how much are you willing to spend, i can safely say that 1k ryzen system wont have dual gpus, and will probably be pretty underwhelming.

You live on the US, say what you want to have, and how much money you can burn on the pc.

            quity

"For gaming, just stick with Intel" I hope you don't mean just to stick it to the CPU alone lmao

not sure about today but a few years back AMD was prone to generate lots of heat which turns into noise. so keep that in mind

PC is priced fairly. Parts for the 999$ modell add up to around 830$. Although the motherboard is small despite being a MidTower. Dunno you'd be better off building your own PC.
Just compare the parts you're planning to buy with pcpartpicker to make sure that you don't get scammed.

Is that pretty much the main advantage in building your own? Cus a lot of these prebuilts go on flash sales for $100-200 under parts price and that doesn't even include windows, which I could transfer my existing windows license but it's way easier to just have a new one.

The microcenter one I linked the psu looks like an evga in the picture, and the mobo is an msi on the spec sheet. It all looks like name brand parts. I think the hard drive is actually scarier cus I have heard cheap ssd's are unreliable and losing your OS is a giant pita vs just swapping out some bad ram.

And yes the ryzen 7s aren't ideal for gaming just like intel broadwell I think is their 8 core, isn't ideal for gaming. Especially from a price/performance stand point. A cheap i5 is where it's at, as you pay a lot for the privlege of overclocking with Intel once you factor in the cooler cost. Hopefully ryzen 5s are competitive.

Yeah, scary HDD too. I forget about the cheapies there :P I did come across an entire brand name that just gave up and died after about a year or two of running.

MSI is alright, but ASRock and Gigabyte seem to be top tier, and personally - I wouldn't sell anything else in a gaming computer. Did you check the memory there? I can't tell you how many customers come in with a pre-built rig having RAM issues.

Broadwell (+Haswell) are Intel's 6 cores. That is actually what I put in my gaming PC, but I do more than just gaming.

                  Dire Wolf

ASRock is top teir? I thought all the brands were pretty similar. I've had asus in my last two pcs and no complaints, I would probably opt for them if building. GPU I have no idea, I've had a couple sapphire ones that seemed fine, then I got a palit gtx 460 overclocked one cus Tom's hardware gave it a really good review. It died after ~4 years, but that's an ok run I guess.

Harddrives are hard, I guess you just don't want no names. Idk if there's one top brand. Used to be western digital I thought but I have had one of those die before. Fortunately it showed signs so I was able to back it up easily and rma it. I have some seagate drives too that have been fine.

When it comes to mechanical drives I like WDD. Solid State Drives - Samsung EVO's are pretty much rock solid. The SSD series that keeled on me was the "Patriot: Blast" SSD series.
And yeah, ASRock has been around for quite a while. Their boards are usually cheaper (because they are still trying to get in the top dog list - already made it into mine) but good quality. Overall, their BIOS format could use a little help (TONS easier to use than some Gigabyte's I've seen).

I ended up using their Taichii X99 motherboard. Absolutely gorgeous, BIOS was decent, and a lot of other great features - including the new USB ports, Bios reset button on back panel, built in wi-fi, bluetooth, and 2 ports for the latest SSD drives (32 GB/s).

GPU, I don't have much of an opinion there. Historically, I have always purchased EVGA for some reason. Never had one die on me.

btw op build your own pc, prebuilts are shit.

                            Dire Wolf

From that link he makes two builds and then says one he had to sacrifice on case to put a better gpu/cpu in it but used the exact same cpu and just a different brand of a gtx 1070... say what? You had to save money on case to fit in the exact same components? Makes no sense.

Also it irks me that cpu builds completely disregard the cost of the OS. Yes most people have windows and will transfer license, but that is something you basically get included with any prebuilt.

                              Chadzpyre

I'll admit that thing looks quite sexy, but 1,300?? I could make something better with new parts for under 1k lol.

Heres a from-scratch build for $1,064 thats just better in every way

The prebuilt that Dire Wolf linked is actually pretty good for the price. Buying from micro center will have tax n shit though, but still its way better than the razor one.

^ doesnt the 1070 needs at least 600w power supply

aFeect nvidia gpu drivers are bad on ryzen, the 480 with DX12 beats the 1070 is some games with ryzen.

Makes sense since ryzen and rx 480 are both amd.

I think 500w is about the minimum for a gtx 1070, but that's what the card spes all say. 500w min.
