Why you feel bad for the 3k now ? If anyone in 3k really worth higher mmr they should be able to deal with 4k smurfs in their bracket now
Smurfing destroyed skill brackets and their true meaning. It will take a while for things to settle down and until everybody find their real mmr but recent change is a good start to make things better.
Even 3.5k is much I think for a newly callibrated account. Smurfing is an insult to people who spent thousands of hours and games to reach their well deserved mmrs on their main
I hope next step will be vac banning smurf accounts
theres more 3ks so they will feel the pain less. also theres less skill difference from 2k->4k than 2k->3k 4head
Be like me,calibrate middle 3K and grind my way,if you are grinding player even you have lose streaks is easy to recover,no like some smurf once they drop they can't climb.

^Most of the smurfers don't actually smurf for calibrating a higher MMR
They smurf for the pleasure of rekting players with lower skill
In the past if they rekt all the TBD games, they will get to 4k or 5k which is no more fun because it's closer to their original MMR
Now that the max is 3500, they can rekt more games.
and I'm a 4k flat fish waiting to be drawn into the trench newly opened up there.

Dude, smurfs nowadays are mostly 2k players that think they are good enough to compete in 4k bracket and ended up ruining "real" 4k players' games
Thats why they should make the max like 3.5k, its enough, 4k+ is too much, me myself climbed from 3.2k (first time calibrated) to 4k in more than a year
Smurf just dont make sense, the players couldnt even competed in vhs bracket
