got the Razer kraken 7.1 , great bass , great in listening to music too! also games and movies are a great experience
hyperx cloud II is good too a friend of mine has it but i dont know pros and cons since ive listen like 2 times from these headset, although kraken have huge bass and i love em
Don't go for razer, razer is the worst brand about about headphones/headset, the sound feels really really weird... hyperx is fine, if you only play dota...If you really like to enjoy music and other kind of games, Go for sennheiser.
Get Steelseries 9H, it's the best headset I've ever had. It has so many options, very good build quality and very nice sound quality.
all these "gaming" headsets are awful I know that I have open design headset now and it sounds pretty ok for everything, altho it lacks some bass, because of it. For this price I don't think I can find anything better tbh and if I would like to buy something really good I would go for some sennheiser, audio-technica, beyerdynamic... and I want a headset preferably, I know I can just buy modmic 5 and attach it to some sennheiser headphone and I'm good to go, but the good ones I'm interested from them starts @ 160 all the way up to 300 euros + that mic costs like 60 euros too and I don't feel like spending that much rn.
Well heres a few things to consider.
Cabled or Wireless?
Mic or No Mic?
Long hours played or Short time played?
Gaming headsets are pretty shit tbh and I dislike the vast majority of them.
If you're doing a overear headphone, with a mic combo then I would recommend wireless but if you're doing a full headset then go wired.
I have these for everyday use as they are more comfortable than any other headphones that I have owned. http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/headphones/38ef8b91d4f4d4f6/
As for a headset I have one that was gifted to me for Christmas but it's uber expensive, and it's got amazing quality but not sure that's within budget.
Check them out though in case http://www.astrogaming.co.uk/headsets/A40-MIXAMP-TR.html
Get headphones with that inner band as they work way better for the long term use comfort. The SSv3 prism were my previous headset and those were decently comfortable, and pretty good quality for their cost, but the cable made me get rid of them.
i have the hyperx cloud 2 and theyre really comfortable. good quality, probably best gamign headset for that price range (i hear the revolver is pretty good too though, basically the follow-up model)
@skim Cool, I was just wondering about size adjustment mechanism with cloud II's, cuz in some reviews people mentioned that it might be a problem in a long run.
yeah thats definitely one of my least favorite things - the.... mechanic? doesnt seem to be really be reliable long-term. it still works fine for me, but it's definitely the worst out of all the headsets ive ever head. had the headset for like.... almost 2 years now
hyperx cloud 2 is probably the only "gaming" headset with pretty good audio quality
coming from an audiophile (not me tho)

Stop spouting nonsense.
Sennheiser is one and only headphone Brand. My last 5 headsets was sennheiser never had any Problems. Perfect quality all around.
