It really depends on the hero. If you know you wont be jumped/can get out of being jumped 2 maelstroms might be better since the active on mjolnir wont do shit

But if you're melee then mjolnir is better

With increased AS may have the same number of lightnings. U have less proc chance but much higher AS. Closer to the late game u will have to sell one of ur maels as u will need a slot. 2 mjollnirs in the lategame are not effective

go for the mjol unless your hero has insane attack speed already

Double daed may give diminishing returns, but critical strike amounts to much more value than chain lightning, and can farm at a much faster speed with cleave. Especially on core kunkka and ember who need to land crits more frequently and reliably that other heroes and both have or buy cleave, its pretty good.

I wud always go for mjollnir, as the attack speed, proc DMG (num of chains and chain DMG), and shield r really good. 2 maelstrom is inefficient.
