the hero works on illusions dealing a lot of damage, since illusions carry stat items and the crit ability
you get the point, by itself it's a bad item
but followed with some STR items like armlet, halberd, treads, drums, satanic etc.
the item gives you MASS dps since it combos with 3 of your abilities
besides mentioned above, the ms bonus is very important, and additional illusions synergize with your reality rift
It also debuff enemy skills like slardar amplify damage or silence. Plus you can dodge some stun with it.
Though I don't rush it. I rush Heart first before Manta but you can Yasha. The MS really helps.
1)Manta gives u agi that u lack so much (even more agi than ultra-efficient skadi)
2)Manta gives u ms so u r hussein bolt on the map
3)Manta gives u also mana (omfg didnt u know it?)
4)Manta lets u lock down the enemy inside ur illusions to not to let go
5)manta lets u farm faster (becuz of additional as and u can spam illusions to clear junglecamps = just like tb but bit less effective)
6)Ur main illusions benefit very much. Manta gives ur illusions as much efficiency as heart does
I used to think that manta on ck is shit when i was shit player aswell. But now for me its top 1 item on ck

My last match was of CK.. I find the build much more viable... Manta style delays the power spike.. And given that ck is already mana starved. The manta style mana cost reduces the effectiveness of the hero even more..
