^Nope. Perfectly normal reaction. At least radiance makes a tiny bit of sense since Medusa is relatively tanky and will definitely get some burn damage out. Although she will still be really squishy with naked radiance. Maybe Skadi into radiance could work but I still don't see it being good.
Midas is only good if the a hero both needs levels and has no innate farming ability. That's why heros like AA and Phoenix benefit from it so much. Medusa isn't really level dependant and she has an amazing farming steroid in split shot. Midas makes no sense to me.
radiance makes no sense whatsoever anyway since you already have a lot of farm potential and burn damage is senseless in fights with stone gaze (which is like every fight)
i guess it's just because midas was typed before radiance
or that i'm allergic on buying midases on carries unless it's slark/wk
Like Rocket said, I see people go straight linkens on Medusa, and no one bats an eye about that. So, what I'm saying is, if you're going to buy a first item, might as well be midas, and then as for a first actual fighting item, why not radiance? It's annoying for the other team.
No. Why would you want a midas on medusa? Aren't your snakes and split shots enought for you to farm? Also, why would you want radiance on medusa? Burn damage or evasion? If it's for burn damage, it's just shit. 5k+ item just for that? If it's for the evasion, butterfly is way better. On medusa you should buy status most of the time. Midas AND radiance will just make you die like a little piece of poo.

"this guy" has 25 games on duza, last played this hero more than half a year ago, and only 4 of his matches include a radiance. it is also paired with bloodstone.
that's a nice build, but you can be way more useful if you pick rikimaru and buy shadow blade.

don't use me to support your argument! my point was that straight linkens is crap and so is midas and that midas+linkens is even worse. you need mobility (phase boots) + a few early stats (aquila) and then a farming item (maelstrom or yasha - not radiance) maybe pick up drums after aquila if game is busy.
if you really wanted an expensive farming item then manta is much better than radiance for you.
either way, read the ability description for mana shield and understand why you get so much more out of stats items.
i think i'd prefer a scythe of vyse rush to a radiance rush.
