What's happening in the pro scene? There are teams with TOP TIER Earth Spirit players on them? Cool. I'm sure if teams each had a WORLDWIDE #1 Omniknight player he'd also have absurd win rates. I mean just go look @ 5K+ MMR games. Earth Spirit, despite being one of the top 10 most picked heroes, isn't even in the top 20 when sorting by win rate.

razor, qop, tiny, gyro are regarded as powerful heroes in competitive, yet they have 45%- winrate at 5k+

They're not picked nearly as often as Earth Spirit in 5K+ games so their win rate isn't as accurate.

In other professional qualifiers & tournaments his WR was a staggering 49% overall. It's only because people like Jerax are playing with him that his WR is so high right now.

If earth spirit had an ags it was really difficult to siege T3 towers since he could just turn your carry to stone from 600 range, pull them in and then kick them to the fountain. He could do it from 800 range with aether lense. And since the stone remnant is untargetable there was nothing you could do to save your carry. Technically he can still stone you and kick you to the fountain but now he has to be standing right next to you so its easier to see it coming and avoid it. It definitely needed to be nerfed.

It does suck that its now much more difficult for him to save allies with it though.

sry, i stopped reading this thread.

my point is that u cant rly use winrate as a measure of hero's success if you are going to use it for making the patch. there are to many correlations that should be taken into account (synergy with meta, happiness of players related to this hero (like, techies back in the days was nerd mainly because community hated him), reasons changes in pick rate, etc etc etc). nor recent LAN ES winrate neither his all-time winrate are enough to judge whether hes too good or too bad.

Patches are meant to make the game interesting and ever changing. Any anyone with nigga in their name doesn't make 7 figures... especially analyzing data.
