Yo you missed out on by far the best books by him then
I read the mistborn series and the end of wheel of time by Branderson and those books were good but the stormlight archive is BRILLIANT. You have the best feeling during the books and after you're finished. It's not something I can really explain.
Honestly after that and Name of the wind most books kinda suck for me now.
Film:
- Oldboy/ Oldeuboi: The Korean version, not the American. One of the best action/thriller films I've ever watched.
- Airplane!: One of the few comedies I can endure.
- Levianthan: I'm a fan of international film festival films, this is one of the more popular CIS films here in western europe.
Books:
I quit reading when I started University, due to lack of time an appetite (for me it was hard to grab a book when you already read soo many course material through the week). Also almost never read any English novels. But the English literature I liked: "Report to Greco" by Nikos Kazantzakis. Auto-biography (ish) but what a read, one of the best written books. Original a Greek novel, the English translation is superb (which is a rarity). This book has a spiritual aspect, which I would usually hate, but for some reason in this book it's just soo good. Kinda wanna take up reading again, so if you have recommendations, don't hesitate.
I can't pick just one favorite movie. Four is probably the lowest I can get it.
Heat
Gladiator
Braveheart
Return of the king
Books I don't read a ton but my favorite series are Emperor by conn igulden and his ghengis khan series as well. They are historical fiction but for adults. Great subject matter, if you like Rome movies like Rome HBO series or the Netflix Marco Polo series you will love these books.

@Mokujin
read the book, watched the film. book is quite gut and kind of original, film is mediocre. could be worse though.
