Deso provides much more damage and allows you to 1hko supports. The downside to deso is you can't get it fast enough or for some reason everyone on the enemy team has high armor (>10) then it doesn't really do anything.
Deso>Silver Edge a vast majority of the time. The only exception is above or if there is a core that you really need the Break ability against (though honestly 4 seconds Break often amounts to nothing significant).

So in twitch chats half the time when someone plays tusk there's a debate about which item is better to build first
(This being a typical pub offlane tusk build)
The deso or upgrading to a silver edge
Now I like silver edge for abit more health but I'm curious as to what item causes more damage (at least in the scenario of breaking invis for your ult)
I would run the numbers myself but I don't really know how all the damage calculations work....... Has anyone actually ran them?
