speaking of some really spectacular difference, id like to point out the gap between 5640s and 5650s players, there is such an abyss in skill between these groups
the whole 2k bracket is almost the same, a 2000 MMR person having a good game can easily beat a 2.9k
Idk I find 3k bracket mostly depends on picks more than actual skill. I've been as low as 2900 and as high as 3800 and it was all cus I was spamming heroes that have bad win rates (like ck and shit) vs good win rates (like troll warlord last patch n shit). If team first picks a meepo or morphling or brood it's a loss 90% of the time. When a team picks zero stuns it's a loss 80% of the time. Usually whoever has the better team wins.
4000 mmr players doesn`t knows spells and items for heroes and at 4500 30-40% of them knows that at least. Also there is like 10-15% 4500 who can play midle on some decent lvl with some clue about the game, never seen good support/offlane or carry at 4500 tho, especially the carry.
There is definitely no difference between 1k-5k at russian server.
Even when EU folks join russian server they play like: "what happens on russian server - stays on russian server".
From experience 3500-4k because once you hit 4k you lose cause of obvious out picks or straight troll feeding whiners.
The stuff you lose because of at 3500 and below is a whole nother world of retarded.
Side hit haven't hit 4500 but I imagine it's more of the same of low 4k just a tad more consistent mixed with bought accounts.

picks don't look that bad but our team has one stun with ember chains. Every fight TA and medusa just ran around with blink and phase and yashas, couldn't touch them. Plus our huskar was a retard who went jungle but hey.

They have better wombo combo than use, tide perfect initiator, they kite the shit out gyro with wr, razor, medusa. This matchup wasn't awful but I'd definitely pick the team with the much easier combo. Even if magnus gets a great rp dusa just has to stay out and pop ult to waste it.

Zero stuns vs blood, ursa, huskar, slark. WTf you cannot win against those heroes without lockdown. Axe was our only shot, he missed a ton of taunts and even with them idk, you can't lock them down forever. We needed an earthshaker or tide over bounty.

hence why regular players stay sub 50 winrate and good players who can counterpick and perform properly have much higer winrates

and then something like antimage or pl versus team that has no lockdown to prevent his blink or aoe damage to clear illusions

First of all you need to know how to counter. When I hear something like: "I pick Ember/Gyro to counter their PL" - I immediately facepalm.
Second, you can't counter 5 heroes with just one pick. You have to decide which one you want to counter. What if you pick something to counter mid Lina, but she is a support? And what if you countered the most retarded player of enemy team?
Don't even try...
Counter pick is one thing but don't affect much until you reach 4.8k. 3.5k and 4.5k they have a big gap in mechanical skill. 5k vs 4.5k actually there is a big gap in decision making. 5k vs 5.5k is the understanding of line up and flow of game

They countered our PL, they had much more stuns, they got every Roshan and cheese and SO WHAT? Our PL is very nice girl and we did our best to win this game for her no matter what. Motivation owns counterpicks. =)

The real counters to PL are: Void, Doom or any melee hero with Battle Fury (in worst case scenario). Never pick ranged carry vs PL.
