all of them are weekly tasks, i need to solve all of them within a week, handing in 2/3 of all math assignments (assuming all of my solutions are correct) during the year will get me a 0.3 bonus on top of my exam's grade (can't save me from failing the course if i'm below 4.0in the exam, and can't get me higher than 1.0 (A+))
the programming assignments give me weekly points, and all of the points will be added together by the end of the semester giving me the final grade of my programming course
on top of that i have to take an "introduction into informatics" exam, which is an exam that tests all the programming & theoretical CS stuff
also @spunki what the actual fuck is that? all i know is that the 0xADSFAFD things are adresses in memory and i know the logical operations like and or xor etc, but i actually have 0 clue what ur last image is and it scares me a little tbh
the pic is just an illustration of the encryption, i don't think we have to particularly study this, it is just something we are supposed to understand and implement
0xadfafd could be a memory adress, 0x indicates hexadecimal and thats kinda all about it

i mean im in the same position of having to do stuff we dont cover on lectures yes but its kinda another thing because:
a)its an anomaly since we have 29 ppl in or fucking group and i have to rush it before every1 loses their mind
b)i dont go to lectures anyway because 95% of stuff is googled/explained in the manual/isnt asked

@alenari yes kinda, we have a lecture (introduction into informatics) and this lab or whatever u want to call it, and most of the time these don't overlap (sometimes the prof is faster, sometimes he's slower than the lab assignments) and it doesn't even matter really because the tasks given are usually very abstract and far away from the stuff covered in the lectures
i don't have too big issues because i programmed in java for 3 years in high school, so using while loops to fill an array with numbers and reading it out isn't hard to me - but when you're taught in lectures how to add 1 single number into an array, and the lab asks u to check a given integer for whether it is a palindrome by using divide and conquer and after that filling the array with each individual digit to check for the palindrome, i can understand why people stop studying cs
