I feel like it doesn't have anything to do with the role or the heroes I play. Every game is just a constant battle between me trying to have as much of an impact as possible without dying and all while dealing with my team feeding

If I go offlane, my mid player feeds. If I carry, my mid player feeds. So I just decide to play mid for that reason

You must play few games in support role, just to know how it feels in their skin.

It is very likely you dont run the game at its full potential, eventhough you can snowball with a mid character doesn't mean you can win games. (Example: you don't push/farm/gank when you should)
