Wat?! There are other games besides Dota?! <-- My thoughts when I see hype surrounding release of games
the games actually like 6 years old and i have it on origin and almost finished it then reinstalled everything on my pc and i'm not gonna reinstall origin
i don't know what it is but for some reason it's really fucking annoying to launch origin
It's not any more annoying than launching steam, if your pc doesn't auto launch steam on startup it takes a bit to launch the service.

The difference is that Steam opens a hundred times faster, doesn't update so often and its updates are smaller, the process takes away reasonable resources compared to the huge chunk of memory that origin takes, and steam isn't a spyware shit.
So yeah, Origin is a lot more annoying to launch than steam.
PS: Oh, and ty for letting us know about the game. However, DA is fucking horrible in terms of gameplay. Horrible combat mechanics, terrible pathing, just a pain in the ass to play. That's a pity because its story and the setting is quite good.
I don't notice the updates cus I don't have origin set to auto launch. I only play games on there once a month or so, so yeah, it always has an update. But steam takes a while for me to open as well on my pc.
And I agree, the combat is completely unbalanced and the combat animations are stupid. Try making a dwarf with a 2h weapon. They look retarded swinging it. And so many builds suck while others are blatantly overpowered which is sad if you're a mage and want to try cool spells that just plain suck. The itemization is awful due to a few +dmg items. A level 3 dagger with +3 dmg is more dps than a lvl 7 dagger that has +stats cus of how the stats convert to raw dmg.
But still, it's probably my favorite rpg game and is pretty awesome.
Man am I the only one that still plays singleplayer games? (chapter 3 in The witcher 2)
Srsly guys dota is awesome and all but the gaming industry is full of AAA titles. Open yout perspectives a little.
On topic: yeah last time I checked EA was voted the most evil company. They are definetly pulling something(micro transactions incoming)
I recently played some single players and the only one that stood out as amazing was Legend of Heroes RPG
Everything else was above average but not noteworthy
Dragon age origins has dlc and an expansion so they're probably hoping you'll buy some of it, none of it is necessary though to enjoy the base game. I wonder if it comes with the stone prisoner dlc, cus they used to give that one away for free with pc copies of the game but it was a code you had on your manual you still had to enter to unlock the free dlc. That's probably the only real essential one, all the others are like side quests.
I play a lot of single player games, of course used to play a ton more pre dota! But last couple years, dragon age origins, dragon age 2 (I liked it though many people disagree), darksiders, mass effect 2 and 3, tomb raider new version, la noire, torchlight 2 just to name the more mainstream/triple a titles. That doesn't even account for the plethora of indie games I own and love like bastion, ftl, hotline miami and so on.
