It's simple, win more games. If you can keep that KDA and Winrate on ~100 games, you will end up in the top 5 or so.
4.2k mmr and cry about only 57 th really? ROFL I m not even in top 100 with any hero and I m 4600 mmr and got 60% win rate on top heroes
Actually the calculation factors in player skill I believe... which includes according to the tag:
Player Skill (difficulty)- AKA MMR
Win Rate (success)
KDA (game impact)
Risk (games played)
good job @y2at !
it would be very hard for me to go up some more.. my KDA is already the highest among all.. and my win rate is in Top 10.
what's anchoring me down is my MMR.
I have mostly been playing solo queue from the start.. and I can't find a consistent group of people who I can play with *sigh*
EDIT: it could actually be because of the # of matches! i just need to play him some more :D
dude just keep playing razor until you get 5k mmr. if you're rly top then it should be ez... just think about it!!!! i did that shit with drow -.-' and half the time they fucking ruined my mid or carry lane + all my feed on purpose and still i got ranked :)
i had 80% winrate and close to 6kda first 85 games or so and all in 2000 mmr higher than you in my logic you should not even be top 1000
I said Had becuase then i still had 3x the amount of his games, and i still HAVE 69.47% not 60 ^^ ;)
well done @sir.. i guess you should have been in Top 10 Razor had you not lost in 6K MMR
division ranking is part of the calculation, so why the hate? Everyone keeps on saying that if you play against lower MMR people then you automatically should own them and must have better results - I guess it's true to some extent but playing against "lower MMR" enemies also means you're playing WITH "lower MMR" allies. It's NOT always a winnable situation and I'm playing solo queue like 60-70% of my games.
@Benao thanks for the motivation.. will try aiming for that 5K MMR in the near future. Thing is, I dont spam or random pick in ranked matches. I try to analyze the lineups as much as I can and pick the "proper" hero.
that means you're bad...sadly! i firstpick and deal with counters like a man and win
Dont get me wrong my man i was not hating you @ all. I bet you play dota very well and razor even better still. But you cannot compare 4k and 5k or 6k or even 7k they are different games completly.
there is no proper hero in pubs ROFL
just pick whatever the fuck u want or go back to cd/cm and inflate ur rating there
interesting.. so no need to analyze? coz im doing this:
- to raise my MMR to 5k, I will not spam pick carry and hope others will respectively pick supports.. I will let them all pick and then think which hero suits the best... also, i will play only when in a very very good mood, not stressed, not sleepy, etc lol
but you guys are telling me that below did work for you:
- to raise my MMR to 5k, i'll fkcing pick my strongest hero (take mid perhaps) and carry this game with the expectation that I'll get matched with noob teammates and strong enemies
To win in solo MMR I play hero with strong early game impact, mean no support and no hard carry for me because you rely too much on you mates and then result become random (thats' "solo MMR" paradox on a teamplay game ...).
But yes, I m not picking first because sometime you end up with no real support (people may act the same ...) and you can't win like this either ... Since I'm not idiot (and selfish) I'm also playing support and play it as it should be, by playing support I can bring victory with warding and crontrol, but I'm not the one who will bring victory to my team ! A support with too much killing impact usually mean a lost game. So you have to rely on other skill, not only your ... once you reach your MMR lvl that's good but before that it's often frustrating
Also I'm not looking for mid even if you have more impact with this lane. Reasons are simple:
- you often have someone to claim it before heroes choice. Fighting for it is tiring and meaningless, it usually bring nothing but stress ...
- trying to win relying on your skill doesn't mean you're alone ... no need to be a douchbag and thinking everyone is at your service. I want to win but I don't want to destroy other mates fun.
- you can't win a game alone ... you may have a strong impact but even if you snowball hard, in the end you'll loose 5vs1 ! So having someone else going mid usually improving your chance to win.
As I said, that's while you feel you usually carry the game and you're way above average game lvl. Once you feel you're reaching your MMR lvl sometime you may be the one who will drag your team down, then it become wise to play support since you'll have strong impact as long as you're doing the job (warding, support your carry, ...)

I have the highest KDA in the list and in Top 10 in Win Rate.. but how come I'm only in the 57th?
Do I need to play more games?
