except for heroes like tinker or sk, is shiftq worth it? I mean if you make a mistake you have to cancel the whole thing. Idk it makes you way more faster but it seems that you can also fuck up bigtime if you make a mistake...

I can't imagine myself jumping on an enemy with a hero without a blink since the enemies are always moving so there is no perfect time...
    what do you guys think?

What do you mean? You shiftqueue actions which are should be done without your direct control inbetween. For example, creating path for units, using items without delay and such. What else would you want to shiftqueue?

^for example comboing with ss. Or comboing with invoker. I can't imagine doing it without messing up...

shift queue when creeping jungle camps
shift queue when picking up a rune
            shift queue when illusion scouting
            shift queue courier pathing
            that's it ..

don't know why you would ever use shift queue in a fight since everything comes down to split second decisions, and not queued up "actions"

Shift click is broken in dota 2.
Shift queue makes your character wait to finish his animation and then does the next thing.

So shift queue in jungle is slower since your hero will do the backswing animation after killing the last creep.

But its very good for picking up runes and eating tango or using queling blade. Also nice after TP and channeling spells...

              So yes, definetly worth it...

In every game I use shift queue, even when I don't know what for.

Iirc, Invoker has manual timings. SS has about a second of aftercast animation, so only situation you could effectively shiftqueue something is blink+hex, which is good.
Any way, the only difference in your orders while shiftqueueing is you holding Shift.

It is the worst when you TP and shift queue an Echo Slam and you can't cancel it even if you want to because it's insta-cast.

                    jus chillen

shift queue on tps, tangoes, runes and quelling blade, also with illusions in wood

Shift que after tping (no more cancel); for sandkingcombo; for chick; for jungling; blink manta for antimage etc. Get used to it.

i would only shift queue a sk blink epi only 0.1 sec before channeling is done to avoid cancelling it and ensure it goes where i want it to be exactly. i don't see it useful it other situations ever since the tp change where you can spam click sometihng unless you press stop or smth.

Oh and also micro-ing stuffs like necro units forged spirit to push out lanes/get on high ground etc.

I only shift on tps/ illu scouting. Shift q + attack ground is new to me, will definitely try this!

                                sounds like dota 1 too
