Is your firewall turned off?
Is there any chance that you have packet loss on your connection?
Are you running any software in the background while playing dota?
Is it a DC just from the game, where you go to the screen that says connection lost or does your game crash completely?
I DC from the game and can't reconnect after i get an abandon i can reconnect fine. It's becoming a big issue because I play other MOBA's and have never had this problem. I don't have a firewall my connections are all run through a proxy server which has its own firewall but its only been happening recently. Other people that play this game do use the same proxy i do so it isn't a problem with that.
Why do you need to proxy the game? Not relevant just interested.
The best advice I can think of is as soon as you dc, quit the game, restart connection and re enter the game. Tell people from the start you have a connection issue and you might dc and ask them to pause if you dc.
Pray and hope they do and that the process is takes less than 5 minutes.

So recently i've been having a few games where after 20-30 mins i DC and cant reconnect to the game resulting into an abandon which seems unfair that because THEIR servers kick me off i get punished has anyone else expierenced this? Sometimes i get back but its happened like 3-4 out of the last 25 games and its becoming a problem
