Whats true sight?

No it's not.

true sight gives you extra details of matches like item build order (and timing) as well as other stuff.

if you go to the esports section of dotabuff, i believe all of those tournament games have true sight enabled for free

as for whether its retroactive or not, i think it's not according to this statement
"TrueSight automatically begins downloading and analyzing your matches as soon as they are played. Because it uses both the Dota 2 API and Dota 2 replay servers, match analysis is subject to their availability"

so if a replay isnt available to download anymore, then db cant analyse the info

When you upgrade to Plus we automatically parse all of your matches that we can get, which is anything in the normal replay retention period (usually about 3 days). Unfortunately that's the best we can do - no replay, no TrueSight.
