urn was always great because it gives decent tankiness, mana regen and a constant source of heal since Spec can easily join fights despite farming
RoA for some cheap stats and so that spec can actually push out the lane if left alone
well RoA is perhaps somewhat questionable, but both pickups are fairly decent
RoA and Urn are pretty good together since the regen from Aquila is counted as base regen so it's increased by the +50% from Urn.
I'm like 90% sure that's how it work anyways.
to me those 2 items are replacement for the drums or vanguard..
in which situations will you build each item?
my early game item on dispersion spec have always been either vanguard or drums..
need to look into the feasibility of Aquila + Urn on a Desolate spec
@Dacheat
The urn regen and RoA/RoB dont interact with each other. RoA/RoB gives a static amount which is not increased by anything
Why would you go dispersion Spectre when building Vanguard?
Vanguard makes you tanky, if you're going dispersion with this you don't bring anything to fights until you get radiance or whatever up.
If that's the case, you probably should think about finishing vanguard or whatgever
@-ddsama.Hyperx
yep.. I know it's a bit of an overkill in terms of making her "tanky" and "online" during mid game team fights.
But this kind of build covers me from the fact that in pub gaming, I cannot trust my supports to "protect" me from harassments, early ganks and proper team fights.
But I have adjusted my spec item builds depending on every situation and feel very confident now in playing her.
I WILL NOW try to consider going DESOLATE.. for starters, I'm thinking of below situations to go for it:
- at least 3 of 5 enemy heroes are "paper" heroes
- if my team has a "ganking" lineup
- if my ally mid hero doesn't rely on "too much" farm to go online (i.e. SF, Tinker, Invoker, etc)
Urn is alright because of spectre's ultimate. It allows him to have high kill participation which results in more charges. Although I never make it.
Aquila is really nice if you don't want to go full drums. It's like a mini drums stat wise, trade move speed for mana regen and armor.
The only real issue I run into going urn and aquila is running out of slots with cheap items. Cus I usually go stout, quell, tangos to start. With boots, stout, quell, tp, urn, aquila you are full at like 15 mins. Course, you can easily sell off the stout or quell, but now there is no way you want to build a vanguard or drums cus you will literally be out of slots and selling those items back in another 10 mins. With urn, aquila, vanguard and drums I kinda feel like you can only pick one or at most two of those items.
sell stout for drum / blade mail / vanguard
sell quelling for relic / diffusal
later on sell aquila for whatever
wheres the problem
Ok vanguard, boots, drums, aquila, urn, tp. Sell aquila buy diffusal or radiance or something. You're still selling a drums or urn to get next big item. just doesn't seem that efficient.
yeah by that logic dont bother with stat items early on, you're just gonna sell them later on too. just rush radiance with brown boots
i dont think theres any reason to go vanguard *and* drum too. isn't it one or the other
why even bother buying urn, just get a ring if you farm easy, get vanguard if life is hard, ofc your boots of choice and just press R in teamfights to get gold for your radiance. After radiance you have like 90% chance of winning.....
To me I either go Drums or Vanguard, but not both.
It all depends on the laning phase, if I can easily get 875 gold before my tangoes and salve run out then I go Vanguard, else I go Bracer --> Drums
because urn lets you contribute early. when you do get a kill, you pretty much are given 2 salves so all the hp you lose from getting the kill is neutered, and you get an extra one to heal you up when you inevitably get damaged from farming creeps, solving your hp regen problem if you dont want to go vanguard, as well as mana issues. without it after you haunt in you will probably have to go back to base because haunt + dagger will have used up almost all your mana.
vs aquila you get more hp, hp regen and mana regen when you inevitably cross the 33 int threshold where sages mask > basi aura, at the cost of attack damage and armour. pretty sure hp regen is a bigger problem then attack damage seeing as you have desolate.
If you activate haunt but don't teleport in but your illusion is there for the kill will you get a urn charge? I am thinking no.
i mean usually you actually haunt in to fights, then lose 2/3 of your hp but get kills. urn lets you heal up and go back to farming/pushing instead of constantly going back to well
if ur using haunt just for illusions before radiance ur doing something wrong

i'm seeing it more and more in this patch... what's up with that?
