Seems like a pretty standard build to me.

switching blink and crimson would make it standard but the end result is the basic standard.

personally i like vanguard blink and arcanes as my core. Tranquils + blink when i know my team wants to be aggressive.

go crazy build like getting phase boots :D

or just add Havoc

If people doesn't have down sindrome they will not attack you. The only way to force them to attack you it's the taunt and they can only hurt you with base attack and you get 40+ armor. How are you going to lose this much hp ? So I THINK it's better my build:

Tranquill -> Blink -> Vanguard -> Crimson -> Alabard

And if the game isn't over yet, you are over. So go for Vyse [Or shiva, it depends] and Terrasque. Then replace Tranquill with Travels.

you get blademail against certain heroes (skywrath for example), if you get blademail just to blink call and blademail then it is a 100% waste of an item. you dont get it everygame, its just like lc.

also, you don't have to use blademail when you call, and when the game goes late and axe falls off and enemy heroes are doing huge right click damage, blademail calls can still do good damage.

if your opponent is using BKB to avoid blademail damage, then that is a blademail active well spent...

also, just saying "bkb" really doesn't mean anything, especially since it counters so many things.

if u force enemies to buy bkb just because of a shitty blademail, then i think that item pays off.
but i dont really see someone buy bkb just because of blademail (unless hes very bad)

Obv people don't buy only for it, but there are 5 heroes who do a lot of other items. Stuns, hex, slows and all the shit you know.

Better buy a 4k item and do a teamwipe then die like a n00b.

horrible build... dagger is basic and you cant get it min 30 (judging by a fucking crimson)

Good game I get vanguard/arcanes/blink in 15 minutes... bad game it takes 20...

If you are just going for tranquils/blink then that should be done in about 8-10 minutes.... why would it take so long to get a crimson after?

that 3% spin buff has made axe into a monster in the jungle early... tangos + 2 stout shields and you never go back for health again... just get a ring of health or tranquils...

how are you gonna get farm or kills gold with that build? like srsly! enemies should be fucking retarded

i have no doubt your opponents are better, but if you have yet to try jungle axe in 6.82... he is extremely fast.... like enigma levels of farming in the jungle.

when i play axe, i go with tranquils and very fast dagger(at least i try) and try to be very aggressive.
i then get a blademail if there is some hero who has some sick nuke, or i just go fast aghs cuz if i get it fast i can just instakill a support.
srsly just press r and he died.
if i get some early kills i also consider a mjollnir+blademail, cuz lightning op. put the lightning shit on you+blink+blademail and do insane dps.
lategame i get heart and pipe and sometimes when against shaker or tide or some other bullshit hero i get bkb.

What build you go for is dependent on the game, there are good solid core items like, blink, blademail etc. but what you do in each given game will change.

There is no set recipe for success.

for a standard build i'd go stout boots ring of protection dagger then whatever i need

Look at the variety in the builds, people need to learn that Axe is and can be very versatile.

i went euls before to get around silencer... work once... failed once.

I don't know why anyone would get vangaurd before blink. Being able to get a blink call with 4-6 creeps/enemies at the 10-15 minute mark is, IMO, the easiest way to snowball axe(unless you are creep skipping), and going vangaurd first just delays being able to get kills when you are at your strongest (level 6-10).

Depends on how good you're doing, if you need regen and health to just survive you get vanguard. If you're good as it is you can go blink and get more kills.

Because you can get it in the first 5 minutes of the game naked. I have been starting with 1 set of tangos and 2 stout shields. I never get any extra consumables after that, and I will get a naked vanguard in 5 minutes. After that it takes another 1 minute to get brown boots.

Having a vanguard, brown boots and level 5-6 at 6:30 seconds is very strong. Even without blink, you can just battle hunger an opponent to slow them 10% and gain 10% movespeed and gank them, or at least completely bully them, with impunity... dive etc... do whatever.

it is also extremely good for lane cutting. trying to stop an axe from skipping your tower at 6 minutes when he has brown boots and vanguard is miserable.

A 5 minute vanguard ensures farm, survival and still gives great lane presence and gankability that early. Yes an early blink can be fantastic, but I will often go for arcanes before blink just because of how unstoppable axe can be that early and keeping my mana up allows me to keep controlling a lane that I am creep skipping.

In short, it is really dependent on the game, how good your team is, and how good your opponents are, but I would urge those reading, regardless of their opinion on itemization for axe, to realize that 6.82 axe farms SIGNIFICANTLY faster than last patch, and it allows for different items, tactics and timings.

I don't start creep skip till i have a vanguard which is around 5-6 minutes. Ring of health comes so quickly though that only 4 tangos are required to stay in the jungle until vanguard is made. Double stout and 20% spin does wonders.

And again... the point of my post was that regardless of what you want to do with axe, 1 tangos and 2 stout shields in the new patch will allow you to jungle EXTREMELY FAST in 6.82. How you want to use that is up to you.

if ur not the one originally in the lane theres no point in creep skipping/buying vanguard over blink unless ur doing a 10 minute deathball

^i get kills and towers so that is the point, for me at least. w/e works for you.

i mean if you went blink you would do the same without crippling ur offlaner (hes losing out on xp + gold, and ur going to have Zero impact after the tower goes on till you get a blink)

its nice to crush the offlane with axe, the problem arises once the tower falls you're pretty much stuck doing nothing till you get a blink. and i can see that looking at some of your games when you have super low hero damage.

sure its whatever works for you, and you dont want to try to fix what aint broke, but in this case there are better builds that allow you to be a lot more useful. the only scenario i would go vanguard under would be is if im aggressive trilaning, effectively im the 1 position.
