"I got the Dotabuff PLUS mainly to know and watch how the best players use their best heroes, but now I feel like it was wasted money."
Getting DB+ for that reason was alone a waste of money as there is a lot more to plus then the top ratings. I might also add that this issue has been moaned about before and afaik they are reworking the list. One of the main reasons it is being reworked is to allow genuine players to get a chance at the list and weed out abusers etc.
I think they are adding a hero score soon to plus users so you can see how you gauge vs the toplist.
Still before I bought it a have seen on screen that it should work as the rules are saying, so now I'm feeling they cheated on me.
The top ratings aren't reliable because they use DBR which doesn't exist since 2012 or so. They are making a new system afaik
Totally agree with OP. I felt i wasted my money when i saw this feature was broken.
Well, if they really are trying to rework this, good news, but till its fixed im unsubscribing. The TrueSight Beta is a very awesome feature though.
Runner breaks world record at Olympics, 20 years later later records still stands. Current athletes demand that old runner's record be removed because athletics have changed so much in the last 20 years and besides, he hasn't event entered a race in 15 years.

I'm dissapointed that these rules dont work how they should :(Player rankings exclude players who haven't played at least 30 matches on this Hero, or haven't played this Hero within 30 days.)
For example here:
http://www.dotabuff.com/heroes/io/players
W got places 1-4th and these guys didnt play wisp since 11, 8 or 3 months, the replays expired long time ago, wisp changed a lot from there and it's no longer true to call them the best players with that hero.
