Steam is shit. For every 1 MB of update it needs 10 MB of storage. For example, to install 800 MB update I needed to clean up my disk to have 8 GB free.

Yes because compressing files and then decompressing them after download is unheard of. Lets all just download 8GB updates everytime, why doesn't Valve think these things through. GG Valve give us 8GB updates please!

started steam today and had to download a 300mb patch. while downloading it, it becme bigger and bigger, like moved up from 300mb to 1gb, then to 3gb and so on.
my files on dota 2 beta are still there, so i didnt deinstalled something.
also i also restarted steam multiple times and verified the game cache. didnt helped at all.
any ideas ?
