Wins/games mean almost nothing when it comes to skill level/mmr. You're going to meet a whole bunch of players with 150-500 games played even when playing ranked, but that doesn't mean anything. Everybody has loss streaks. I lost a full percent winrate in the past 2 weeks. Did my skill level drastically change? Not really, I'm either playing worse or getting bad matchups/making bad decisions. If you want to impact your game more to where you impact the outcome somewhat more play mid, snap pick Ta/SF/ some other 2 ish role carry that can mid and dominate, then carry into late.

^^I just don't get why every person has to try to defend ranked matchmaking. It is fucking trash. It does not adequately show people's skill level. The fact that you have to lose MMR when you lose or gain MMR when you win is literally the dumbest way of getting accurate skill levels for people. Tell me why I did my calibration period and got ranked at 3800 MMR and over the course of two or so months I have dropped to below 3000? Its bullshit. I have not gotten worse since this MMR system has come out. I have also been playing dota for many years and I know that at THE VERY LEAST my skill level is above 3500. Its not below 3000. What's going on is that ranked MM needs to be fixed quickly or Dota is going to lose a lot more players than just myself.

I lose way more than I win, I play sup, ganker, and carry. If I sup, mid and carry fail, If I carry, mid and sub fail. There is no way to counter this syndrome!.

matchmaking leaves much to be desired but number of wins is a terrible way to assess dota skill. You could be a crappy player who plays tons and gets to 1000 wins or an amazing player with just a couple hundred.

are you telling me that if you want to avoid sad players is to pick a middle hero and call " I mid" all the time!? Dude, most " I mid" I play to enjoy too, and by the way, sf is a very situation hero, and can be easily turned into food, the same can be said about Ta, I remember games, when I got about 10+ kills on a hero like pudge, but I eventually lose, because our carry is outfarmed or getting ganked. You can validate my point by picking OD, you can win the mid lane against any int hero, on top of that, melee mid heros got no chance to get a proper farm and xp and stills you lose the game, dota is never about a single lane....

I random most of time, on top of that I have a high win rate on pudge :s. Dude, MMR is broken, and valve should fix this it, its no near fair to have a carry/mid/with a poor denie and last hit skills, its an auto lose to a single lane, if not the whole game. Hell, players nowadays are after kills, its very rare to get more than 2 proper sup.
Watch your own replays. See what you do wrong as a player and improve from that. Apparently what anyone else on the forum has to say is meaningless, as you like 3948209578905870 other people think it's their team or MMR being the reason they lose.
Well, doesn't look like you've done any better than your team-mates in those past games.
However, dont write ingame, only compliment your team-mates for good decision and plays.
If they do something stupid, ignore it. Don't believe something will be better if you flame on them.
Always lastpick (if possible) and pick a counter to the enemy. E.g. Nightstalker is pretty good to shut down an Anti-Mage, especially in pubs where people lack mapawareness.

I just played two games, and both games ended in less than 20 mins, in both games, our mid invoker, gave fb and started to feed their mid, which happens to be Pudge in both games, in both games too our carry farmed nothing, absolute nothing in 15 mins. Im not trying to say Im a holy player, never make mistakes and such, but what im saying is match making especially ranked match making doesnt distribute players in a proper way, I cant see a code or valve matchmaking base to support my situation, I have a friend which happens to be a member of a tournament player (his team won a tournament once!) said the same exact thing!. I wanted to verify whether such MMR behaves in such creepy way or not.
Also, you can not judge from score board as the very last min of the game, the enemy camps and starts killing till they are satisfied, Im going to make a video by tomorrow to demonstrate my agony.

Not any specific game. You can improve from all games you play. See what could have been done better. What you did wrong. What they did right. Ect
in 3.5k-4k, my suggestion is just pick the hero u good at or early-mid game hero if u think ur skill-level more than 4K.
mmr is not wrong at all. I got 4100 solo and 4,2 party after 10 calibrating. Played 2 week later, and now I got 4,8k solo and 4,7k party. Maybe one week later will get 5k soon. So maybe its about your skill bro, in SEA after 4k mmr rating, u will face tryhard doto and entertain amusing game. deal with it.
Dude the number of games don't mean shit. Don't try to think about those things. Just play the game, concentrate and win. Thinking too much of your teammates pulls you down. Flaming doesn't do any good too.
Currently 3.8 solo 4k party and it seems like my games are good. People I play with are in the same range as me, the reason why our team loses isn't because of the skill level disparities. Some players just don't comminicate well/ adapt with the playstyle needed to win game
i started at 5025 something and now im at 5.8k, ive never picked slark, brood or es nor have idone the solo ranked trick that sneyking, bulba etc uses to farm solo points
when i reach 6k im gonna quit dota or something because thats all what matters bros

Hello all, I have been playing dota for the past 3.5 years, and I managed to understand the game, build and almost all aspect of this great game ( ofc no solid micro yet :_( ) My rank was around 4100, and my win/lose ratio is slightly close to equal for most of the time. The game is super addicting and fun. Anyways , when valve introduced the hellish Ranked Match Making, things started to go downhill pretty quick; for example, I have been playing with players that have 400-600 wins, on the other hand, the opposite team has players with 1000+ wins plus, the game keeps forcing me to lose in a very unfair scenarios, or sometimes, a player invite his low win(s) friends, my rank keeps doping rapidally, I now lose a lot by a lot I mean I win 1 game in every 4-5 game, I have been goggling for the issue, and many thinks in dev.dota2.com that players skills are equally distributed; which is never my case, my games always end in 20 mins, what kind of competition is this!? I started to develop cheap strategies in order to pump my rank to 4000+ I started to play brood mother and such for the past few days, but somehow the game never allow me to reach 3700+, no mater what I do I get worst possible things, you might thing I'm exaggerating or something, but you wont believe scenarios I'm always in. I keep playing with leavers, almost once or twice every day, which is an instant loss. I have no idea why my account is cursed, but you guys have a better idea of whats going on.
