There are 2 primary Gyro builds. Semicarry which means mid Gyro, bottle and phase, and shadowblade as well because mobility, escape, and initiation. Then there is carry which we all know. Treads, bkb, satanic, mkb, bfly, rapier
do not confuse pub dota with tournament dota. Shadowblade works in pubs because of the lack of organization
How is gyro mid awful? He should win mid against pretty much any melee hero and most of the range heroes as well. He also can easily get kills if he gets ganks on his lane.
If you dont get a gank you wont get into range for your q, leveling his w i dont think is very good, i think carry gyro is the only way to go, he has been everywhere he used to freaking support
I've seen FATA do amazing things with solo mid gryo. Gryo is a hero that can solo kill you, has rune control options AND can kill 2 or even 3 heros that dive him in a gank at his tower. He has potentially 1000 range to harass while lasthitting with flak, his attack animation is excellent... gyro is really one of the best mid heroes. But its not currently popular to play him mid. Its just out of fashion.
FATA beat a lot of top pro mid players with mid gyro 6 months ago.
Ppl guy shadowblade cos shadow blade is in item suggestion. And when someone is new at a game he buy smth that is suggested,but shadwo blade on Gyro sux alot.
Best build is get phase aquila bkb/dominator/butter/mkb and satanic .. but thats way to farm for pubs gyro not so good for pubs if you are not in stack , all depends but usually..
