also get a bkb always no matter you need it or not
Early medallion and morbid for early Rosh.
From there, phase, drums, some kind of mana sustain for spammability.
Crit items like Daedalus and Crystalys aren't bad.
satanic/heart > bkb for him imo good players will kite your ass when they see the golden troll anywhere near and he has a really shitty hp pool to begin with. only start to worry about a bkb until you see ppl starting to build for ginsoo. until then man modethem down with items like drums (personally i like treds on him now since he is faster than most ppl) phase boots, HoD. shadow blade.
I really dislike shadow blade on troll now. I mean really. Shadow blade cost mana a thing that troll usually dont have and gives you nothing in team fights, with your new mov speed should be enough to position yourself.
Even in range mode i still think is easy to kite him and on melee mode you hit way harder. People will just run from you when you ulti an use bkb.
Even if i get bkb i still like some hp items on him .
Shadow Blade is/was a good item because it strengthens his already considerable nuke damage and provides him with a reliable escape.
However, since the last patch you really have to be careful how you use it, and I wouldn't recommend it for Troll anymore.
That was what i was talking about LGS, i just think that the shadow blade nerf was too big to build this item on troll now.
And the wirling axe slow is not that good to chase people.

I was talking about the CD nerf on SB, the mana cost did not go up from 6.78 to 6.79.
This makes it far more irrelevent to Troll Warlord than any mana cost, which can be easily managed with regen from a void or the aura of a friendly CM.
The beauty of Shadow blade is snowballing of supports, the higher lvl games the less this happens, but troll does need an escape...
Also in my experience you don't need a deadalus, going Crystal to satanic gives you enough dmg
Troll needs hp more than anything else imo. I go phase boots, medallion, dominator. With this you can solo rosh if you're level 12 or 13. Then finish off satanic, big hp increase. Then crystalis or bkb, then daedulus. Game over by then usually. I might go mkb over daed if enemy has a lot of dodge heroes like PA or brew.
SnY isn't bad cus it gives you stats and move speed, but the attack speed is not needed at all, I'd rather go more raw hp with satanic.

So what its the most tryhard build on this hero ? Usually i go phase, HotD, drums, bkb if i need bkb. If i dont need bkb i go phase, HotD, drums, sangue and yasha.
The reason i really like the drums, sangue and yasha build is because i like to stack hp and movement items on this hero. I dont think troll needs any kind of dps item to fight mid game so hp, mana, ms seems to be better.
I mean troll with lvl 4 beserk rage its the fastest hero in the game if i am right ( 340 ms ) and with this build you move at almost max speed, this way i dont get kited.
After that i go for daedalus.
So what do you guys build on him ?
