I had a match with an alch on my team which we lost because he was terrible, had terrible farm, but everyone on our team tried to explain how he was nerfed and 750 hp was a huge deal. I tried explaining how effective he can farm early with that regen but they could only see it as a nerf. Oh well.
I was thinking, wouldn't AA counter him pretty well early on? You know, since Ice Blast stops all HP regeneration. With the help of some nukers like Lina or Visage, he could go down pretty fast. Until he farms up BKB of course.
AA is the most obvious counter to alch now. Dirge is decent too especially after decay buff.

That regen of his is seriously being underrated. That shit almost completely nullifies tower damage at level 6. WITH NO ARMOR ITEMS. It out-regens tower from level 2 onwards.
Stack EHP on him like armor and hod and that dude is a massive pain in the ass.
I guess his flaws as a mid are weak rune control and being melee. However post 6 he's a beast and unless you burst him down in one shot, he bounces back up in no time. Great ganker too.
