Dude, in 2 years there were many patches that changed most heroes and many heroes were added both in dota 1 and dota 2. A year ago naga, morph and lycan were OP carries, now naga is played as support and the other two are shit.

Lanaya's ONLY major change was the range of her Psi Blades. The bonus range they give was increased but that was irrelevant to her overpowered early game.

Popular mids like QoP and Puck were dominant back then but Lanaya shits on them. There were no major changes to these heroes as far as I'm concerned.

Changes? Irrelevant. She was seen as weak and underrated because teams did not experiment with her.

Now, a newbie here, but I kind of feel that Lanaya is indeed a bit underrated. From my games so far, I've only had troubles on mid against Batrider and that means that most of the time I was just kept a bit further away from the creep wave in order to avoid napalm stacks. I personally have absolutely no troubles playing against Pudge, Puck or Slark on mid, they're pretty much fresh meat thanks to the psy blades harass.

Apart from that, if with a good team that can coordinate ganks properly, Lanaya can snowball real hard. And if that happens, I think that pretty much means that you can own the enemy carries in a 1v1 situation.

Actually, Lanaya isn't underrated and is considered among top picks mid as a counter against popular ones.

She's awesome but back then, everyone though she was shit.

I like how one patch threw Batrider from trash pick to first pick/ban.

The turnrate buff made teams notice him.

However, I still think he was awesome before the buff. He was a great farmer and had good lane control. He also made fights 4v5 really fast.

Honestly about that turn rate thing. Mirana could really do with a slightly faster turn rate.....it bothers me watching her slowly wheel her bear, lion, cat, owldog around.
