    the thing is, if you fuck it up with a trilane, you might just throw in the white towel because you already lost it.
    that's why 2-1-1-1 is the best strat for pubs, competitive pubs or not.

      @Mark, That is true. It would be easy to stop uncoordinated pubs but while I'm not a competitive player, I'm still thinking of it from that standpoint. I was wondering if 2-1-2's were to ever comeback, what lineups would they work against and what would be the format of heroes that make them up?

      @Relentless, Those picks are really cool lol. I think its awesome when such creativity is shown and it looks like Alliance's 2-1-2 worked well. Well, the Kings of the North winning was probably expected by many, regardless of the picks.

      @kami, Finally you say something constructive. Isn't that statement agreeing with my dismissal of 3-1-1's? Although you're suggesting that 2-1-1-1 will > 2-1-2. Especially in cases where a tri is crushed by another tri (one of them being offensive), it becomes extremely difficult for the losing team to comeback. The enemy supports and carry will be fed while all three of yours are dirt poor. Map control is lost and etc. While losing mid might have disastrous effects, it comes nowhere close to when a trilane loses.

        Centaur, tusk and ET all kind of fill the same role don't they? Seems like that side overloaded on melee disablers.

        It does seem many pubs come down to whichever side wins mid.

          Can be done. Since TI1 ive thought that tri lane is a stupid idea. ive tested out 2-1-2 against tri lanes in LAN with friends. what i did and was effective, was get two ranged off lane/ nuke heros to go up against a tri lane. I had a WR + ES once, DS + ES, and one time super effective was having QOP + zeus. Obviously it depends what the tri lane is but we were able to crush the tri lane each time.

              2-1-1-1 beats 2-1-2 because jungle guy farms while offlane guy leeches exp without feeding and if top lane is getting crushed, you can help them instead of jungling so it evens out everything

              but in most cases, you have some russian shittard who feeds offlane and screams "GANK PLZZZZ" so that shit doesn't work either :D
