Currently I have been alternating between normal and high bracket. How do they determine what bracket you are supposed to be in? Also, is there a way for you to see the brackets you are in for all your matches (in a list) as opposed to looking at one match at a time?

The bracket is a very rough indication of average MMR in the game. Normal is about 85% of players. Very High approximating the top 2-3% and High in between.

If your MMR gets close to the border region between two brackets you will have games in both. Also even if you have the highest MMR in the world its still possible to go into Normal depending on who you que with...similarly very low MMR players can que into Very High if they que with much higher MMR players. There is no real barrier between these games. The classification Normal, High, or Very High just shows the average MMR of the players in the game.

At this time Dotabuff does not have an option to filter games on skill bracket. But you can do it with the in-game client. Go to Watch, then Recent Games, then type in your name and the date range and select the skill bracket you want to see. This will only show 6 games/page but you can sort them at least.

I would like to see this option added. It will be much easier for players to see how well they perform in the most difficult games. Also some heroes work for you in Normal, but may not work in High or Very High. It may be that you need to play the hero differently in the higher brackets and being able to sort games would let you see that difference. Actually sometimes heroes you can play well in High or Very High games need to be played with a totally different style, items, and skill build to win in Normal games.

        Tony. check pubstats.me

I don't recommend pubstats.me. It failed to find a very large number of games for many of the players I have checked and often had logical contradictions between different parts of the data it displayed. Also it is currently broken.

the contradictions were only due to pre-dotabuff ban data being ignored by pubstats.me whereas dotabuff had the old data as well.

I guess we can't check if they fixed it since the site is down anyway. Last time I looked it said I had zero games.

They've got about 1000 on me. 800 on you if i remember correctly.

So it misses only half my games now? I guess that is better.

                    They don't.

The first time you check your stats on pubstats it wont show anything because it only updates you at the time you query, so it will be like a blank page and then a few minutes later it will show everything. This is in contrast to dotabuff which gets and parses all data as it occurs, or close to it.

pubstats.me for me show only 800 games of 1700
