Don't even get me started on prophet pickers.
I have made numerous threads on this forum in regards to such players.
It used to be pudge, Dendi inspired thousands of morons and led to fucking idiots every game thinking they could emulate Dendi's brilliance.
Post TI3 the situation has become much worse, With AdmiralBulldog completely dominating almost every game he played as prophet and imo winning alliance the grand final he now has become the shining beacon of hope for the masses.
Prophet
Pudge
The 2 most overpicked characters in pub and generally they are extremely shit.
They are overpicked and are played LIKE shit.
I don't consider them shit though. NP has been proven to be an awesome hero, but pubs play it like a farm fest. Steal the carries farm. Camp the NC. Feed.
And then pudge... theoretically speaking, if you could hand every hook you shoot, then pudge would be op. But most people are apparently trying to miss every hook.
Its also a knowledge of who to hook and when.Just because you land a hook doesn't mean you should have real pudge players know how to grab key heroes to instantly eliminate threats to a teamfight or push.
Prophet is a good hero and people bitch and moan about him but he is good if played correctly. Stacking massive DPS items and farming all game isn't really the way this is done. The fact that you can show up anywhere on the map with a hex, trap, silence or what ever makes this hero almost as dangerous as wisp with the ability to instantly out-even odds in your favor.
FYI: You can spot noob NP's who spam ults everytime it is off CD to grab farm as opposed to holding it or only using it when in need of a push or in a teamfight.
Havoc, I'm going to disagree with you about the NP ult. The ult is a great farming tool.
That said, even early an NP should be ganking. Farming is huge and being able to get the absurd amount of gold/xp out of the jungle helps the team, but showing up in lanes early to gank is a big deal. Even moderately experienced NP players are going to have second thoughts about ganking because if it doesn't result in a gank, the time/mana loss really hurts the farming and hurts the team as a whole.
To be fair, NP and Pudge were already very abused in pubs even before TI3
That said, why the hell is Spirit Breaker such a common pick?
agree, SB is the best no.4 position player in pub game
his skill forces him to buy all wards and dust, get drum vlad bkb etc.
definitely agreed on SB the ability to have that amount of hp plus armor at lvl 1 is unheard of for a support, as for NP pickers wow its like as soon as a trend hits pubs it destroys any type of individual playstyle, instead we see a borefest of farming and split push then they magically appear with an across the map ulti to KS any heros/creeps u were having fun killing. just as the PL+kotl, wisp+ck, invoker euls combo and pudge picks they will all eventually fade out we just have to wait for the next fad.
He's pretty fun actually. You can be anywhere you want , any time you want, whenever you want; it's fucking awesome.
The global ganks are easily the most fun thing about Profit. Person stuns > Teleport > Sprout > Rage induced or Quelling FUUUUUUUU
I will keep it simple- i hate playing with or against furion, for all the reasons mentioned. He doesnt contribute and at one point he cant really be stopped. Rat dota at its best. Try to do anything on the map after 30 minutes with that fucker around. Really i think that the only way to really stop furion is to pick bh/sb(hate that fucker as well)/ganking party that will simply gank the shit out of him. Otherwise he will win.
Yo dawg, we heard you like farming, so we added extra right click buttons to your mouse, so you can farm while you farm.

Is it really that fun?
Step 1:Farm for X minutes. X being fucking long.
Step 2: Buy Midas > Shadowblade > Luxuries
Step 3: Lose game because you're a noob stealing farm without doing anything
OR
Step 4: Win the game by right clicking enemies or sometimes just right clicking towers. So fun.
And step 3 usually happens instead of step 4.
