Your stats are linked to your steamaccount, so there is no confusion. All the games you play are displayed on your account, and your account only.
The aliases are purely displayed as a way of showing what nicknames this person has used in the past.

but I can't understand 1 thing.
if you search for statistics typing nickname which was used by 2 different ppl which profile you will be redirected to?
it will show you a list of all the people who have used that nickname in the past, with a limit of 25 profiles. If you google a popular nickname like Dendi you will get plenty of hits.

I've got really good question. Just theoriticaly.
Im playing with nickname "how_it_works" with steam account id "xxx"
then, some other player plays with the same nickname "how_it_works" from steam account id "zzz".
How the statistics will be recorded then ? Every stats will be based on played matches from both accounts ? or is it any separation or "nickname reservation" ?
