Happy Friday!
Following a third place finish at The International 2016, former Shopify Rebellion captain PPD stepped down as active player and resumed management duties, becoming the CEO of the North-American organization. Now, EG announced that ppd is set to resume his active player career, stepping down as CEO and leaving former team manager Phillip Aram in the position of COO. He will not play with the current EG roster and has yet to announce his new team.

StarLadder and i-League have decided to make the 4th installment of their Invitational series a Minor, the first Minor in Dota 2 history. Set in the Cyberarena in Kiev, the first Minor will feature eight teams, two teams will receive direct invites while the other six will have to qualify through regional qualifiers. Every region (NA, SA, EU, CIS, CN, SEA) will have 1 representative at the LAN finals, competing for the $300,000 USD prizepool. Open qualifiers for the closed qualifiers are set to begin on September 9th. More details about the open qualifier and where to sign up can be found here The LAN finals are scheduled to take place on October 12th-15th.
North-American veteran and former Evil Geniuses coach ! has announced his return as active player. Following The International 2016, Fear had retired and resumed a coaching position with Evil Geniuses, leading the team to success from the sidelines. The veteran is set to take over the captain and drafting position, giving Cr1t the chance to focus on his 4 position play. The reason for his return however is that the team had to fill the void left by the departure of zai. The Swedish support announced earlier this week that he would look for new opportunities elsewhere and is strongly rumored to reunite with former teammate ppd.

Two weeks after announcing the departure of three players, Alliance has now parted ways with the reminder of their roster that competed in the TI7 qualifiers. FEAR IS BACK~
Fear pos. 5 ??? Also why not kick -Crit and get PPD back as captain
If anyone read my commend in the 10 seconds it was up, I apologize. I'm a bipolar ADHD person who didn't read the article and saw "FEAR REPLACES ZAI' and angry-jizzed my pants. I thought since his hand injury 5 pos was the place for Fear, but i can understand why he played pos 4 for TI 6. I think Crit is a terrible position 5 player compared to his position 4 play and am happy to see he is back. I really hope Fear can play some good strong defencive supports as i think EG's main problem has been over greed due to haveing 2 position 4 players. Good move
i really wanna see the korean DOTO again
