Play more dota. Watch more dota. Eat more dota. Dont have any outside distractions. Dont play late at night. Dont tilt. Communicate. Dont play every support in the game, narrow it down to 3-5. Thats a starting point for you.
Have good wards. Deward all their wards. Buy smokes, use smokes, win lane, always check all lanes and click on the minimap. Check enemy
Items constantly. Have high kill participation. Then win the game.
Stop building and rushing aghanims with Ogre and other support heroes. Try to play as a real support. Buy utility items that will help your cores survive (force staff / glimmer / urn). Know where and when to ward and deward.
forget about the skill tag on dotabuff and start learning from as many sources as u can. the best sources are high mmr supps who either spam or play a supp more. cuz u can watch so many games from them that u start seeing the patterns in which they do stuff.
aside from that there are a shit ton of stuff u can learn. just keep finding resources and learn. that's like the super obvious but super effective advice i could give
^Its a good advice but not what he is looking for, "HOW TO GET VHS" players are low MMR but they think they deserver higher so they spam new accounts and hope that there is some magic trick like "spam hero X with ability Y = insta VHS!!!!!!!" they dont want to admit to themselvs that dota is very complex game with many aspects to learn and master and they suck in each and every one of them. Just ignore these treads so you dont get brain damage...
well that is true since we're living in instant gratification world, ppl are used to thinking there are magic pills like "get ur dick 5 inches longer" stuff. but im gonna be non judgemental and instead just give what i think is right what op does with it is his thing not mine.
and i learned through trial and error, when to ignore things and when to give ur opinion and not give a shit about the outcome and when not. these types of threads are always ok to just say that much and leave it there. cuz i know a lot of ppl genuinely are just confused by instant gratification world we live in

"Very high skill" isn't actually very high skill. so I wouldn't even bother caring.
@sia™ Its 2018, there is tons of material to learn and improve, on this website actualy you can download hundreds of high lvl games to watch replays, but why waste time when he can make a stupid thread hoping someone will answer "EZ dude spam hero X instant VHS and rank you dont deserve!!!!!!!!!"
cuz my motto is help others. i actually think i wouldnt even have wanted to play this game if it wasnt cuz i learned so much and i dont want it to go to waste...
The most important thing to remember as a support is that you are not playing the game. You are just there to help your teammates play their game.
pick supp that can heal/save teammates, ability to push tower, have a good war potential,cant be solo killed, always bring smoke to ward in dangerous area
basically everything except farming
